Frank H. Young
1888 - 1964

Frank H. Young studied at the Chicago Art Institute. He worked as a cartoonist on a Colorado Springs newspaper and then as an artist in advertising agencies in Salt Lake City, Seattle and Portland. He was in the art department of the Los Angeles Times and at Calkins and Holden advertising in New York. He assumed the art directorship at Charles Daniel Frey Studios in Chicago and in 1922 he founded Frank H. Young studios. He was also founder and director of the American Academy of Art in Chicago. His clients include Pierce-Arrow, Packard, Palmolive, Buick, Schaefer Pen, Union Pacific and others.
